Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and evidence-informed nursing care to patients with a variety of needs, including acute medical and surgical conditions.
  • Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Administer medications, perform various medical procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Requirements
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Recent medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Coronary Care I certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Previous cardiac monitoring experience is an asset.
  • Strong patient assessment skills and ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and compassionate attitude towards patients and families.
