Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Platform Team Lead - Structural to join our team in Regina, SK.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead our Structural design team and oversee the design and approval of Structural Engineering works associated with new buildings and renovation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and detailing Structural elements, preparing reports, estimates, and contracts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and approve Structural Engineering works for new buildings and renovation projects
  • Prepare reports, estimates, and contracts for Structural Engineering works
  • Lead the Structural design team and coordinate with sub-consultants as required
  • Review and investigate preliminary Engineering options during the planning and schematic design process
  • Prepare cost estimates, tender contract documents, and Engineering reports
  • Perform Structural design calculations and prepare AutoCAD drawings for Structural systems
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Perform contract administration duties, including site inspections and coordination with internal teams
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Tekla, StaadPro, and AutoDesk AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), Structural Codes, and industry practice & regulations/applicable Codes having jurisdiction
  • LEED AP Certification is an asset
  • Good written & verbal communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and driven to succeed in a positive environment
