Job Overview

CIMA+ is a leading engineering firm with a strong presence in Eastern Canada and a growing footprint in Western Canada. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Rossland, BC.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer to take on complex projects, develop their expertise, and advance their career within our organization. Our Civil-Structural group specializes in the engineering of foundations, buildings, and industrial structures, and we are committed to providing innovative solutions to our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting structural inspections, designing equipment foundations and support structures, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. They will also be expected to provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and to represent the company in client-facing situations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct structural inspections and assessments for industrial projects
  2. Design and develop equipment foundations and support structures
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
  4. Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards
  5. Represent the company in client-facing situations
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
  2. 7+ years of experience in consulting engineering, with a focus on structural design and analysis
  3. Registered P.Eng. in the province of Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan
  4. Advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design, with field experience
  5. Design experience in heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydro & Dam, and Renewable Energy
  6. Working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards, as well as good design practices
  7. Proficiency in the use of SAP 2000 or similar software
