The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is committed to delivering programs and services through a trauma-informed and culturally dynamic approach. We prioritize the voices and perspectives of each individual, ensuring that our approach is strengths-based and inclusive.

We are seeking a Program Coordinator to join our team at the Aboriginal Supported Child Development Centre. The successful candidate will report to the Early Childhood Services Director and be responsible for managing the Aboriginal Supported Child Development Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Aboriginal Supported Child Development Program, ensuring that it aligns with the Centre's mission and values.
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance on program management and staff supervision.
  • Develop and implement program plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with a diverse clientele on an individual and group basis.
  • Administer child assessments or screenings as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum degree/diploma in Early Childhood Education or related discipline.
  • Current ECE, Infant Toddler, and Special Needs Certification in BC is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in an inclusive childcare setting.
