Program Coordinator Opportunity

The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Program Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Early Childhood Services department, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our Aboriginal Supported Child Development Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring seamless delivery of services to children and families.
  • Supervise and support a team of early childhood educators and support staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure high-quality programming.
  • Develop and implement program plans, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Collaborate with community partners, stakeholders, and families to build strong relationships and promote program success.
  • Conduct child assessments and screenings, and develop individualized plans to support children's learning and development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum degree/diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Current ECE, Infant Toddler, and Special Needs Certification in BC (an asset).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in an inclusive childcare setting.
  • Proven program management and staff supervision skills.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
