Clinical Nurse Leader

The Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team. As an Assistant Head Nurse, you will be responsible for staff assignments, patient flow, and acting as a role model, clinical resource, and advocate for nursing staff. In addition to providing frontline nursing care, as required, you will take a leadership role in the promotion of quality patient care and the implementation of operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff assignments and patient flow management
- Leadership and mentorship of nursing staff
- Quality patient care and operational priority implementation
- Frontline nursing care provision
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) Certification
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required
