We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with abnormal breast changes, including breast cancer and suspected cancer.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide integrated, quality, interdisciplinary patient-centered care to individuals with abnormal breast changes.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide access to healthcare services, education, and psychological support to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care.
- Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.
- Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- 5 years' experience in a clinical nursing role, with a preference for 3 years of experience in a breast health clinic or oncology setting.
- Basic computer skills and good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing competence through professional development activities.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Canadian Oncology Nursing Certification.
- Inter-professional Communication skills.
- Patient/Client/Family/Community-Centered Care skills.
- Leadership and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities.
