M & R ROOFING,SIDING AND RENOVATION LTD is seeking a skilled Plastering Specialist to join our team. As a Plastering Specialist, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and even finish. You will also be required to instruct apprentices, prepare tenders and quotations, and estimate costs and materials.

Work Site Environment

The work site environment will be dusty, noisy, and outdoors. You will be required to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.

Work Setting

The work setting will be commercial, residential, and various locations. You will be required to work with a large workload, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure.

Tasks
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The work conditions and physical capabilities required for this position include bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, large workload, manual dexterity, overtime required, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, sound discrimination, tight deadlines, walking, and work under pressure.

Weight Handling

The weight handling requirement for this position is up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

The personal suitability required for this position includes client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgement, reliability, team player, work term: permanent, work language: English, and hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
