Mechanic Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mechanic Assistant to join our team at S & A Industrial Maintenance L. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Tradespersons and Apprentices: Provide support to our tradespersons and apprentices in their daily tasks, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment to complete their work efficiently.
- Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and maintain machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Move Equipment and Materials: Assist in moving tools, equipment, and other materials as required.
- Work in Confined Spaces: Work in confined spaces, including areas with dust, odors, and noise.
You will be working in an urban area, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work under pressure.
Requirements- Physical Demands: The role requires a high level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Manual Dexterity: You will need to have good manual dexterity and be able to handle equipment and tools safely.
- Dependability and Flexibility: You must be a reliable and flexible team player, able to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
We offer a permanent position with a 37.5 hour workweek, working in a dynamic and supportive team environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced industrial maintenance setting.
