Job Title: Food Store Manager

LUCULLUS PASTRIES INC. is seeking a highly skilled Food Store Manager to lead our retail bakery operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing staff, assigning duties, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our bakery store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff and assign duties to ensure efficient store operations
  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand and competitor activity
  • Determine merchandise and services to be sold, including bakery goods and desserts
  • Implement price and credit policies, and locate and select merchandise for resale
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure profitability
  • Determine staffing requirements and recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure exceptional customer service and store appearance
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a retail or bakery environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers
  • Ability to work a 35-hour workweek, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business or hospitality
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven track record of success
  • Knowledge of point of sale systems, word processing software, and database software
