Job Description

The primary function of the Medical Team Lead is to provide leadership and support to our medical team, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to multitask and delegate effectively.

Responsibilities:
  • Celebrate Successes: Coach and motivate medical team members to meet and exceed goals and targets.
  • Streamline Operations: Oversee and delegate team members to assist with Medical Device Reprocessing of instruments.
  • Enhance Patient Experience: Ensure the U-Experience is being well executed on the floor.
  • Schedule Effectively: Work with other team lead(s) to effectively schedule all nursing staff to ensure consistent coverage throughout clinic days.
  • Facilitate Communication: Coordinate daily coffee and lunch breaks for medical staff, communicate effectively with Operations Team Lead throughout shift to ensure fluidity between teams.
  • Review Billing: Review MedAccess billing for physicians as needed.
  • Technical Expertise: Expert user of EMR system, resource for staff inquiries.
  • Delegate Tasks: Delegating daily housekeeping and miscellaneous tasks to medical team.
  • Quality Control: Ensure autoclaving is completed on daily basis by medical staff.
  • Staff Support: Support all nursing staff throughout shifts and address questions and concerns as needed.
  • Manage Staffing Levels: Manage staffing levels on a day-to-day basis, adjust with management when required.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Perform necessary administrative tasks.
  • Inventory Management: Track and control medical inventory, or delegating tasks to reliable medical team member.
  • Supply Ordering: Order medical supplies for location.
  • Room Preparation: Ensure the rooms are completely stocked to physicians needs.
  • Laboratory Results: Cross checking received lab results with pathology tracking sheet.
  • Employee Development: Conduct probationary and annual reviews with staff, set up and coordinate any training for medical staff (annual CPR recertification etc.).
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain product and service knowledge to effectively educate clients and staff.
  • Team Motivation: Schedule, motivate, and supervise staff members to achieve highest results possible.
  • Disciplinary Practices: Follow company-wide disciplinary practices to manage employees as needed, ensure appropriate communication and documentation is kept.
  • Risk Management: Minimize the risk of theft throughout the organization by monitoring inventory closely.
  • Policy Implementation: Help implement new policies and improve current clinic practices.
  • Hiring Process: Work with Human Resources to assist with the recruitment process for new team members.
