We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize kitchen performance.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and menu items to enhance the dining experience for our guests.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and banquets.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Prepare dishes for guests with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
