Job Title: Planning Lead

Woodfibre Management Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Planning Lead to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Contractor on behalf of the Company to ensure that all project activities are planned, scheduled, and executed in alignment with the Company's objectives and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including tasks, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the company's overall project timeline and objectives.
  • Collaboration with EPC Contractors: Collaborate closely with EPC contractors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and identify the necessary resources for task completion.
  • Progress Tracking and Reporting: Track project progress, monitor deviations from the schedule, and update project plans to reflect any changes in scope, timeline, or resources.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Prepare and present regular status reports to company and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate risk management plans to company and EPC contractors.
  • Team Collaboration and Facilitation: Facilitate regular project meetings to ensure effective coordination among team members and EPC contractors.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the EPC contractor's resource management and compliance with project requirements, including conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure quality and adherence to contractual obligations, industry standards, and project requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of project experience in major capital projects in the oil and gas industry, LNG project experience a plus.
  • Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, PRISM, etc.), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
  • Additional Requirements: Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset, communication/interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and change priorities within tight time frames, and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
