Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for managing inventory, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and updating inventory processes, including stores.
  • Communicating with other departments to optimize inventory accuracy.
  • Resolving problems promptly and reporting exceptions.
  • Working with the Finance Manager to correct exceptions.
  • Monitoring and optimizing cycle counting.
  • Collaborating with inventory, replenishment, and IT teams on inventory-related improvements.
  • Ensuring processes and controls are followed by all employees.
  • Coordinating with receiving and shipping managers to report anomalies.
  • Managing, monitoring, and communicating inventory performance.
  • Managing distribution variances, stock adjustments, and moved items.
  • Auditing movements and sampling processes.
  • Coordinating with buyers on packaging issues.
  • Monitoring and reporting damaged goods.
  • Compiling data on vendor problems.
  • Reviewing suspicious inventory transactions.
  • Setting up and controlling packing processes.
  • Controlling stock closing and inventory.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in inventory, operations management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to coordinate several activities at the same time.
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
