Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Rockport Carrier Co. as a key member of our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across international routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Arrange travel itineraries and make reservations as needed.
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks and load/unload goods safely.
  • Obtain necessary permits and documents for international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle condition.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information.
  • Tarp and secure cargo for safe transportation.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Valid passport and driving record check.
  • Willingness to travel cross-border, internationally, and overnight.
