Job Title: Truck Driver

Join Rockport Carrier Co. as a skilled Truck Driver and embark on a rewarding career in transportation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating our fleet of vehicles, transporting goods and materials across various routes, and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Travel Arrangements: Arrange travel itineraries, make reservations, and ensure all necessary documents are in order.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee vehicle condition, and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in transportation or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel cross-border, internationally, and for extended periods.
