Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Rockport Carrier Co. as a key member of our transportation team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials across various routes, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Logistics: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Safety: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Travel: Willing to travel cross-border, internationally, and for extended periods.
