Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

At Roy Mart, we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles
  • Order merchandise and authorize the return of goods to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and productivity
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to prevent stockouts and overstocking
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure seamless operations

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic retail environment

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced retail environment
  • Work under pressure to meet sales targets and customer demands
  • Tight deadlines to maintain inventory levels and resolve issues

Experience:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment
