Your Key Responsibilities- Oversee the design process from feasibility through completion and collaborate directly with clients on major projects.
- Perform detailed electrical design work and review the output of junior designers.
- Direct CAD teams for drawing preparation and review deliverables before submission to the client.
- Prepare written reports based on building electrical assessments and audits.
- Prepare written tender documents and technical specifications. Evaluate products and contractor proposals to make award recommendations to the owner.
- Work with management to develop business strategies related to new clients and potential growth areas in electrical engineering.
- Assist with proposal preparation and contacting new clients to grow business.
- CAD experience is essential.
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2006/2004/2008/2010 is required.
- Knowledge of lighting software and basic engineering is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $110,000-$140,000, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
Education and ExperienceA Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Professional Engineer registration in Canada are required. A minimum of 6 years of experience in engineering consulting is also necessary.
