Job Summary:

We are seeking a Recreationist to join our team at Baycrest, a leading healthcare organization. The successful candidate will work with our Therapeutic Recreation and Culture & Arts teams to develop and execute therapeutic programs that promote leisure and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement therapeutic programs that cater to the needs of our clients
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Supervise and orient volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality services
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of inventory of program supplies
  • Coordinate services with other staff and departments to ensure efficient service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a two-year College Diploma in Recreation or Activation or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a Recreationist role or equivalent
  • Member in good standing with Therapeutic Recreation Ontario or Activity Professionals of Ontario preferred
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating creative recreation programs preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
