Job Title: Restaurant Shift Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Shift Manager to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a Restaurant Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Establish work schedules

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
  • Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth
  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience

Work Setting:

  • Relocation costs covered by employer
  • Willing to relocate

Work Term: Permanent

Work Language: English

Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week
