Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Personal Banking Associate to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers and prospects, identifying their needs, and providing advice and guidance on financial solutions that meet their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide personalized service to customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Needs Assessment: Identify customers' financial needs and provide recommendations on banking products and services that meet their requirements.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial goals and objectives, and providing guidance on how to achieve them.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on banking products and services, including deposit accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment products.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other branch team members to ensure seamless execution of customer transactions and to achieve business objectives.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze customer issues and determine the best course of action to resolve them.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field of study.
  • Experience: Some experience in consultative customer service or sales roles, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and connections with customers. Verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, collaboration and team skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
