Job Description

As a Project Coordinator - Commercial Mechanical at Plan Group Inc., you will play a vital role in supporting project managers and site supervisors to develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring project targets are achieved.

Maintaining and updating document control logs and adhering to project management procedures, including change orders, as-built drawings, and close-out documents, are key responsibilities. You will also provide status updates on work in progress, support with project forecasting and cost control, and coordinate equipment and material deliveries.

A significant aspect of this role is participating in site meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and proactively identifying potential problems or schedule delays to bring to management's attention.

To excel in this position, you should have related mechanical engineering post-secondary education and trade experience, which would be an asset. Additionally, you must possess a minimum of one year of experience within the commercial construction industry and be proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project.

Scheduling software expertise, such as Primavera, would be beneficial, as well as experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and working on commercial projects.

Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum one year of experience in the commercial construction industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Familiarity with scheduling software (Primavera an asset)
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per annum
