We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Project Manager to lead our engineering activities in industrial electrification projects. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective execution of engineering activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating engineering activities for large industrial electrification projects involving pre-fabricated E-houses, MV & LV switchgears, Variable frequency Drives, Control, Protection, Instrumentation, MCC transformers, motor generators, Auxiliary Systems, and HVAC Systems.
  • Coordinating and validating technical studies, including short-circuit, load flow, protection coordination, and arc flash.
  • Responsible for technical coordination with the customer, internal engineering team, suppliers of equipment & services, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Preparing equipment layouts for electrical and control rooms, evaluating heat losses, and selecting HVAC units.
  • Preparing cable & interconnection lists, cable tray layouts & cable routing.
  • Producing technical specifications, controlling and managing engineering changes during project execution, participating in the preparation of RFQ's and bid evaluations & analysis.
  • Technical follow-up during engineering, procurement & construction.
  • Installation supervision and commissioning in industrial sites, producing cost estimation of turnkey projects, generating deliverable lists, and schedules for entire projects.

Qualifications for the role include:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 years of related experience in the field of industrial electrification projects.
  • Member of OIQ (or P.Eng. from other Canadian provinces).
  • Knowledge of electrical standards (ANSI, CSA, IEEE, UL, and others).
  • Availability to travel within Canada.
  • Site supervision and control system knowledge are assets.
  • Knowledge of software such as ETAP, SKM, ACAD, SmartPlant, or Microstation.
  • Bilingual: French, English.
