About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead eMobility projects across Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and execute projects within the given timeframe and budget, adhering to contractual requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  2. Develop and maintain clear interfaces between stakeholders and establish a Division of Responsibilities where necessary.
  3. Create schedules that include engineering, procurement, manufacturing, delivery, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  4. Monitor project progress and produce regular progress reports for customers and internal review.
  5. Validate project budgets and track monthly estimates to completion.
  6. Develop project execution plans and support the development of quality and EH&S plans.
  7. Review contracts, ensuring compliance with general commercial conditions, specific conditions, and quality, packing, shipping, and documentation requirements.
  8. Support site management in the execution of site activities when necessary.
  9. Perform periodic Risk and Opportunity Management, including mitigation and action plans.
  10. Ensure Environment, Health, and Safety, as well as Quality requirements are applied.

Requirements

  • English and French language proficiency (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing engineered product delivery projects.
  • Excellent communication, management, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organization skills, proactive, result-oriented, business-minded, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve complex issues involving many stakeholders, and negotiate.
  • Knowledge of contractual, legal, and commercial aspects, flexibility, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is an asset.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineered products in electrical or transportation sectors is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
