About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Pioneer Place Family Practice and Walk-in Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical History and Examination

Collect and document patients' medical histories, perform thorough physical examinations, and identify potential health issues.

Diagnostic Testing and Procedures

Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most effective treatment plans.

Medication Management

Prescribe and administer medications, as well as provide patients with guidance on medication use and potential side effects.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with other healthcare professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and provide patients with clear explanations of their treatment options.

Health Education and Counseling

Offer patients guidance on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.

Requirements
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 36 to 40 hours per week
