Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Pioneer Place Family Practice and Walk-in Clinic. As a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and Document Patient Information
You will collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals, and document it accurately in the patient's medical record.
Examine Patients and Identify Health IssuesYou will examine patients' health condition to identify diseases and injuries, and develop a plan of care to address their medical needs.
Order Diagnostic Tests and ProceduresYou will order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment for patients.
Consult with Other Medical PractitionersYou will consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and develop a comprehensive plan of care.
Prescribe and Administer MedicationsYou will prescribe and administer medications and treatments as necessary to address patients' medical needs.
Provide Health Education and CounselingYou will advise patients on health care, provide counseling and support on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues, and promote healthy behaviors.
Manage Patient CareYou will provide acute care management, and coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Requirements- Education
You must have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry, and be certified by the College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP).
ExperienceYou must have at least 2 years of experience in a family medicine setting, and be licensed by provincial or territorial authorities.
LanguageYou must be fluent in English, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work ScheduleYou must be available to work a regular schedule of 36-40 hours per week, and be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
