About the Role

The Executive Director, Strategic Development and Real Estate will provide senior leadership and direction to Fraser Health's Strategic Real Estate and Land Development initiatives. This includes overseeing the planning and development of capital projects, ensuring performance excellence in facilities management, and driving improvements in efficiency and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Strategic Real Estate and Land Development team
  • Oversee the planning and development of capital projects, including leasing and property management
  • Ensure performance excellence in facilities management, including standardization, innovation, and process improvement
  • Drive improvements in efficiency and risk management, and ensure consistency with industry standards and accreditation bodies
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support strategic goals, and oversee the recruitment and professional development of employees
  • Provide leadership and oversight in the planning and day-to-day operations of services to drive operational excellence

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree and/or professional designation in a relevant discipline
  • 15 years' recent, related experience in progressively more complex and senior management/leadership roles in a large multi-site organization
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of appropriate legislation, by-laws, and relevant codes and provincial/national standards
  • Sound business acumen and ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with business partners and other external stakeholders
