Lead Insurance Services Specialist Position

Highly Skilled Billing Specialist Needed

The Lead Insurance Services Specialist is responsible for overseeing the payment submissions and collections from insurance companies for various companies within Embark Behavioral Health. This role requires expertise in medical billing for mental health services and the ability to support the team as a subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight for the Insurance Services department
  • Lead billing meetings and assist in problem-solving
  • Mentor new hires and support their onboarding process
  • Participate in special projects related to Insurance Services
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in the department
  • Manage patient insurance records
  • Handle insurance rejections and denials
  • Work on aging reports and collections
  • Engage in cash application process

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of prior experience in medical billing
  • Knowledge of electronic claims filing
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Understanding of state and federal regulations
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage stress and maintain confidentiality
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • High School/GED required, Associate degree preferred
