Dawson Group is a leading construction company that values quality and excellence in all aspects of its operations. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. This role will involve conducting and coordinating inspections of work activities, generating daily reports, and maintaining accurate and detailed records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting and coordinating inspections of work activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures
  • Generating daily reports for works completed, including analysis of aggregates and asphalt
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Participating in all levels of the organization to continually improve processes and procedures
  • Managing incidents of non-conformance
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, crews, supervisors, and the general public

Requirements

  • A combination of Engineering technologist designation or similar, or minimum five (5) years of road and maintenance and/or construction experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of MOTI specifications, Master Municipal Construction Documents (MMCD), and ISO 9001:2015 QMS standards
  • Strong leadership skills, managerial experience, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
