Salary Range

The annualized base salary range for this position is CAD $180,000 - $230,000, reflecting the complexity and importance of the role within our organization.

Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned finance leader to oversee our corporate accounting, investment accounting, procurement, and financial planning & analysis teams. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' progressive experience in a team leadership role or similar within the financial services industry. They should possess a thorough understanding of the issues relevant to investment accounting, including derivatives, valuation of investment instruments, and operational management techniques.

A strong background in corporate accounting and financial planning, including consolidation, reporting, and budgeting, is essential. Experience leading a procurement and strategic sourcing function to drive enterprise value is considered an asset. A solid working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and related financial and technology systems is required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and leadership to their teams, ensuring alignment with data governance principles, and setting Key Performance and Risk Indicators to monitor business changes impacting delivery. They will also participate in the development and execution of short- and long-term strategies and initiatives for Finance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years' progressive experience in a team leadership role or similar within the financial services industry.
  • Thorough understanding of investment accounting issues, including derivatives and valuation of investment instruments.
  • Strong background in corporate accounting and financial planning, including consolidation, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Experience leading procurement and strategic sourcing functions to drive enterprise value (asset).
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and related financial and technology systems.
