About the Role
Fountain Tire is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Sidney, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment and advise customers on maintenance schedules and repair requirements.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotations.
- Ensure a safe workplace by adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining equipment.
- Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.
- Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regular basis.
Working Conditions
- Work in a team environment with a focus on hard work, concise communication, and clear decision-making.
- Consistent lifting of weights up to 25KG is required.
- Work can be unpredictable, physical, and may involve exposure to wet, cold, and windy conditions.
- Nearly constant standing, crouching, or kneeling is required.
Qualifications
- Completed or registered in a 4-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program or Red Seal certification is required.
- Valid driver's license permitting independent operation of a passenger vehicle is required.
- Satisfactory driver's abstract from the licensing province is required.
