Overview

Fountain Tire Sidney (2061 Malaview Ave W Unit 1, Sidney, BC V8L 6X6), is looking for responsible, safe and dedicated associates to join our team as a Licensed Apprentice Automotive Service Technician .

Wage: $42-$44/hour (wage based on experience)

Primary Responsibilities:

Identify performance problems while using the diagnostic equipment and advising the customers and customer-facing associates on the work performed, general vehicle condition, and future suggested maintenance schedules and repair requirements. Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, lubrications, and tune ups. Ensure a safe workplace by adhering to all “work safe” protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and your coworkers. Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner. Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis. Pride in the work you've done keeping your customers safe and, on the road, site or field

Working conditions:

A team environment where hard work, concise communication and clear heads are rewarded. Consistent lifting of weights of approximately 25KG without assistance, is required. This work can be unpredictable, physical, wet, cold, windy etc. and we need someone who will be up for the challenge. This role requires nearly constant standing, crouching, or kneeling.

Qualifications:

Completed or registered in a 4 year automotive service technician apprenticeship program/Red Seal is a MUST Must possess a valid driver’s license permitting the independent operation of a passenger vehicle. Must be able to provide a satisfactory passenger or commercial Driver’s Abstract from licensing province as requested by management.
