Job Title: Gatehouse Security Guard

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced security professional to join our team as a Gatehouse Security Guard at our Alliston, Ontario location.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of our premises, personnel, and visitors. This includes conducting regular patrols, inspecting vehicles and cargo, and responding to emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular foot patrols and inspect gate security as required
  • Perform CTPAT inspections on inbound and outbound trucks
  • Support the gatehouse during peak periods, including rush hour
  • Perform open and lock procedures, equipment checks, and mobile patrols as required
  • Inspect paperwork and identification of drivers and vehicles
  • Act as a first responder in emergency situations, including fires and medical emergencies
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for reporting and incident response
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism
Requirements:
  • Valid Security Guard Licence
  • Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to complete daily logs and write detailed reports
