Position Overview: This role involves rotating schedules, including both day and afternoon shifts. Candidates must be prepared to commute to the job site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular foot patrols and ensure gate security is maintained.
  • Perform CTPAT inspections on incoming and outgoing vehicles.
  • Assist at the gatehouse during peak traffic times.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, including equipment checks.
  • Engage in mobile patrols, including the deployment and collection of parking pylons, which requires physical strength to lift up to 25lbs.
  • Verify documentation and identification of drivers entering the premises.
  • Inspect under vehicles as per established protocols.
  • Act as a first responder for fire or medical emergencies according to standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and implement procedures for incident reporting and management.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service while performing duties.
  • Secure the premises and personnel through thorough patrols and investigations.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Security Guard License.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to complete daily logs and detailed reports.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Access to personal transportation for commuting.
