At CB Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled and culturally competent Indigenous Mental Health Professional to join our team of service providers. As a key member of our team, you will provide short-term, solution-focused counseling services to address a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, interpersonal skills, workplace challenges, relationship issues, stress management, and addictions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide culturally sensitive and solution-focused counseling services to Indigenous clients, taking into account the impact of systems of oppression on their mental health.
- Work with adult individuals, couples, families, and children to address their mental health concerns.
- Engage in clinical consultation with our clinical management team as required.
- Adhere to professional standards and best practices in counseling.
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a related field, supplemented by specific training in culturally competent care.
- 2 or more years of generalist counselling experience, with 1 year of experience working with Indigenous persons in a counselling setting preferred.
- Lived experience as a member of the Indigenous community is a strong asset.
- Registration or clinical membership with a relevant professional regulatory body.
- Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000 or as otherwise determined by CB Canada.
- Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written, with other Indigenous languages written and spoken being an asset.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
