Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Ga Hyang Ru Restaurant Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Create new recipes and menus to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Instruct and train cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Recruit and hire staff to fill vacancies in the kitchen.
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
  • 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
Work Environment:

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with attention to detail. Standing for extended periods is required.
