We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to complex patient populations in our ICU department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with unpredictable outcomes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify abnormal patient responses, and take appropriate action
- Manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously, prioritizing patient needs
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS)
- Recent experience in Critical Care Nursing, with a focus on complex patient populations
- Ability to use the Nursing Process to inform individualized care planning and delivery
- Strong interprofessional and communication skills
- Central Venous Line Management certification
- Certification in Lead II Arrhythmia Interpretation or completion of a Lead II Arrhythmia Interpretation program
- Certification or recent continuing education in Critical Care Nursing
- Current certifications in TNCC, PALS, ENPC, and ACLS
