Newmont Goldcorp Canada is a leading gold mining company seeking a Mine Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of our Éléonore mine site in Quebec, Canada.

As a Mine Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mining facilities. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the mine's production, development, construction, and services mining activities on a daily basis.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in operations management and a proven track record of success in supervising mining teams. You should have a college diploma in Operations/Mineral Technology and at least 5 years of experience in the underground mining industry, including 2 years as a supervisor.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of mining regulations and safety protocols. They will also have the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including employees, management, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the mine's production, development, construction, and services mining activities on a daily basis.
  • Oversee the work of mining teams to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of mining activities and performance metrics.

Requirements:

  • College diploma in Operations/Mineral Technology.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the underground mining industry, including 2 years as a supervisor.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of mining regulations and safety protocols.
