Boart Longyear is an integrated drilling services and drilling products provider, producing, manufacturing and operating equipment for the minerals industry, with a drilling presence in water exploration, environmental sampling, energy and oil sands exploration. We are currently seeking a self-motivated **Warehouse Supervisor** to fill a position that will be based in our **Val D’Or, Quebec **Distribution Center. This position is a full-time role and hours of work will be 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

The Global Drilling Services division operates for a diverse mining customer base with drilling methods including diamond coring exploration, reverse circulation, large diameter rotary, mine dewatering, water supply drilling, pump services, production, and sonic drilling services.
The Geological Data Services division utilizes innovative scanning technology and down-hole instrumentation tools to capture detailed geological data from drilled core and chip samples. This valuable orebody knowledge gives mining companies the ability to make timely decisions for more efficient exploration activities.
The Global Products division offers sophisticated research and development and holds hundreds of patented designs to manufacture, market, and service reliable drill rigs, innovative drill string products, rugged performance tooling, durable drilling consumables, and quality parts for customers worldwide.
**Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)**:
- Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, materials, supplies, equipment, mail and messenger services.
- Prepares and packs goods for shipment, load and unload carriers.
- Unpacks and counts goods received.
- Routes materials to inspection, stores or other destinations.
- Maintains necessary files and documentation.
- May load shipment/inventory.
- Utilizes small hand tools and operate material handling equipment. Performs pick-up and delivery of mail and packages at various locations.
- Provides messenger/courier service for messages, documents, packages, goods, etc. Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail, including using a scale to determine appropriate postage.
- Records postage charges for assignment to department accounts.
- May operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver materials at various local destinations.
- Ability to operate a forklift (sit down and reach)
- Perform Cycle counts on stocked inventory.
- Perform Monthly safety site inspections and report findings to the warehouse manager.
- Conduct investigations on inventory discrepancies.
- Order shipping materials such as Crates, Boxes, skids, and other related shipping supplies from other Boart entities as required.
**Job Requirements**:
- Computer skills (Data Entry - numeric and alpha)
- Experience with Oracle or other related inventory management systems.
- Ability to work under mínimal or no supervision.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work in accordance with all safety policies and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Other general duties as assigned
- This position requires ongoing physical demands including heavy lifting, bending, walking, standing.
**Position Qualifications**:
- Fluent in both official languages (French and English) capable of meeting the labour demands of the position.
- Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks.
- Previous related experience to drilling services is an asset.
- Exposure to different drilling environments and techniques is preferred.
- Great team player with the ability to take direction constructively.
**Education and Experience**:
- Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of previous relevant experience to warehouse services
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisor position
**Reporting Relationship**
The position reports directly to the Distribution Center Manager, who is located in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario.
