About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Planning Leader to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating the planning, implementation, sustainment, and evaluation of initiatives in community sites throughout the Fraser Health Region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead assigned projects related to the integration of specialized clinical program areas, including idea generation, planning, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring.
  2. Provide coordination and project management within a strategic change context, overseeing the development and implementation of plans.
  3. Function as a strategic resource to ensure that an optimal structure, design, and implementation of changes are in place to achieve desired outcomes and benefits.
  4. Coordinate and align teams with other clinical initiatives to avoid duplication.
  5. Provide clinical support to develop tools and templates for the team's review, utilizing best practice literature, guidelines, and stakeholder expertise.
  6. Support day-to-day management of initiatives, completing work for the team, providing progress monitoring and reporting to steering committees.
  7. Liaise with key support areas and stakeholders to ensure critical support outcomes are achieved.
  8. Apply change management principles to develop engagement strategies and action plans to maximize the likelihood of success.
  9. Identify and manage key stakeholder strategies and work closely with designated team and Communications to develop communication strategies.
  10. Identify and establish appropriate team structure(s) and membership for initiatives, including sponsorship, champion, clinical working, advisory, or steering committee(s) and delivery and implementation teams.
  11. Assess and articulate the impact of initiatives from a systems perspective and manage the impacts and interdependencies with other initiatives at Fraser Health.
  12. Assist in the development of project documentation, including proposals, charters, work plans, risk management plans, communication plans, etc.
  13. Partner with programs and other departments in the development, maintenance, and promotion of relevant goals and objectives.
  14. Participate in evaluation and refinement of tools and methods as required, assisting in the development and presentation of project updates.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or a related field, Planning, or Business Administration, and seven (7) years of recent related clinical operations experience, including planning, project management, and/or organizational transformation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership practices, including the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous, and will create the conditions for people to succeed.

The candidate will also have a working knowledge of change and project management principles, a strong understanding of the healthcare system, and the clinical program being supported.

Additionally, the candidate will have the ability to motivate and influence leaders, physicians, and staff at all levels to embrace and take action on transformation initiatives.

The candidate will also have diplomatic negotiation and interpersonal skills, the ability to provide leadership to a variety of project teams, and the ability to work independently and as a member of multi-disciplinary teams.

The candidate will also have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work, operate a standard PC, and effectively utilize a variety of software applications to support initiative management activities.
