Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency/Intensive Care Unit Float Pool Department at Headwaters Health Care Centre. As a critical care practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general and specialized nursing duties, including caring for patients in the Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit.
- Function as a Critical Care Float Nurse, working independently under medical directives.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- 1-2 years recent Emergency Room and/or Intensive Care Unit experience, with preference given to those candidates with both Emergency Department and ICU experience.
- ACLS certification and experience required.
- BCLS certification.
- Experience with arterial lines and central lines maintenance, CTAS training/experience, and Medical Directives certification preferred.
