About the Role

This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN architectures, routing protocols, and network security. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in configuring and managing Cisco Routers/Switches/Firewalls, Juniper Firewalls, Voice Infrastructure, and F5 Load Balancer devices.

Responsibilities
  • Network Planning and Design: Participate in the planning, design, configuration, and deployment of company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, UPSs, PDUs, and other hardware.
  • Network Maintenance: Perform daily operational maintenance of existing network infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve network-related problems in an enterprise environment, utilizing expertise in Cisco Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and Intrusion Detection (IDS).
  • Change Management: Plan and execute changes, installations, and provide support of networked computers and equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Vendor Liaison: Liaise with vendors for new hardware and software acquisitions, maintaining current and effective maintenance agreements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A college diploma in Computer Science; a university degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of equivalent work experience in a senior IT network position.
  • CCNP, CCNP voice, and CCIE designation or equal experience.
  • Experience with Routing, Switching, telecom switches, voice mail systems, and Cisco IP telephony.
  • Strong working knowledge of network/internet protocols/services such as VoIP, GigE, 10/100 Ethernet, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, TCP/IP, IPSec, and NAT.
  • Familiarity with operation, management, and fault diagnosis of real-time transaction processing systems.
