About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Cloud Storage Architect to join our growing team. As a key member of our technology architecture team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our cloud storage infrastructure and ensuring its scalability, modularity, and integration.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains systems and technology models and standards for cloud storage projects.
  • Assists in implementing standards and orientations for personnel responsible for executing plans and projects.
  • Participates in architecture and planning projects, proposing coherent and efficient technology solutions.
  • Identifies strengths and weaknesses of current backend solutions and recommends improvements that meet organizational ambitions and expectations.
  • Implements storage-based solutions, including block, file, and object storage, SAN connectivity, backup, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery.
  • Provides technical assistance to IT Operations Storage and Backup teams.
  • Leverages strong leadership skills to lead diverse experts and participate in multidiscipline projects.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration, or equivalent education and experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT and/or IS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud storage and backup (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of common frameworks and legal requirements for data backup and retention spans.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing backup and storage enterprise solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience with vendor data center backup and recovery solutions: Hitachi, Dell, NetApp, PureStorage, Cohesity, Rubrik, Commvault.
  • Good understanding of public cloud computing solutions: IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Good understanding of TOGAF Architecture Principles, SOC 2, PCI DSS requirements, and HIPAA security rules and guiding principles.
  • Bilingual (French and English) with senior-level communication skills.
