Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Coordinator to join our Recreation Therapy/Adult Day Services department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing recreational/leisure programs that support residents'/clients' health and well-being in residential, acute, and adult day program settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop recreational/leisure programs that meet the needs of residents/clients
  • Implement and evaluate programs to ensure they are effective and engaging
  • Supervise Activity Worker II positions and provide direction to designated volunteers
  • Assist with therapeutic components of resident care plans under the clinical direction of a Recreation Therapist or designate
  • Monitor patients'/residents' progression and provide feedback to the clinical team
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized recreational program plus one year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Valid Class IV Unrestricted BCDL (or be willing to obtain same within first 6 months from hire)
