Electrical Safety Professional

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Safety Professional to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a Field Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring site safety, documenting observations, and ensuring contractor compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
About the RoleThis is a term position with an expected end date of December 2028. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager Safety to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel and contractors. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing programs and initiatives to promote Zero Incident Mindset within the project
- Liaising with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Performing field safety observations and documenting findings
- Measuring compliance with safety program requirements through auditing
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A diploma or trade certification in Health and Safety, Technical or Electrical field
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in an industrial environment preferably with transmission and distribution of an electrical utility
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designation or working towards it would be considered an asset
