Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced construction project lead to join our team at Ledcor Building in Kingston, Ontario.

About the Job:

This is a site-based role where you will be responsible for leading construction projects valued at $80M+. As a seasoned project manager, you will create and implement project plans and schedules while ensuring high safety and quality standards. Your proven track record of successfully managing complex residential, industrial, and commercial construction projects will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards on all projects.
  • Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project.
  • Develop and maintain the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project's progression.
  • Provide strong leadership to construction team members and capitalize on individual and group strengths.
  • Identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets.
  • Maintain and track all financial aspects of the project, including forecasts and billings.
  • Manage the procurement process, including subcontractor/trade/supplier negotiations and awards.

Requirements:

  • 8-10+ years of related work experience as a project manager on residential, commercial, industrial construction projects.
  • Experience managing construction projects within aircraft hangars, aviation warehousing facilities, healthcare, and/or high-rise residential would be preferred.
  • Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
