Job Summary:

Assist the Coordinator of Spiritual Care in meeting the spiritual needs of residents at Holy Family Home. Promote the Mission of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate by supporting care values regarding quality care, loving environment, Christian ideals, and principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Coordinator of Spiritual Care in providing spiritual care to residents.
  • Promote the Mission of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate by supporting care values.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to residents and staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with courses in Theology.
  • Minimum of one advanced Clinical Pastoral Education unit or Ministry experience.
  • Eligible for Membership in Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC).
  • Strong skills in active listening, compassionate presence, grief work, end of life conversations, crisis care, and spiritual leadership.
  • Knowledge of the Ukrainian Catholic faith and other interfaith denominations.
  • Member in good standing in a church/church conference or religious body.
  • Endorsement by denomination for ministry.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Effective oral, written, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Good mental and physical health, as well as good attendance to meet the requirements of the position.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of the Ukrainian language.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Coordinator of Spiritual Care.
