Job Title: Chief Host/Hostess

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Host/Hostess to join our team at Home and Away Calgary. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and motivate our team to deliver outstanding service, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Liaise with Chefs and Customers: Foster strong relationships with our culinary team and guests, ensuring seamless communication and a positive dining experience.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the ordering and receipt of liquor and other supplies, maintaining accurate inventories and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Inspect Dining Areas: Regularly inspect our dining rooms and food and beverage serving areas to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns, resolving issues and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Enforce Regulations: Ensure compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, as well as health and safety standards.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement operational procedures, setting staff work schedules and ensuring efficient daily operations.
  • Recruit and Train Staff: Recruit and train new staff members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
