With a fleet of offshore construction vessels and a team of experts, the company delivers world-class subsea services, including remote-operated vehicles and survey operations.

The Survey Electronics/Information Technology Technician will play a key role in supporting these operations. Reporting to the Project Manager, this individual will be responsible for installing and maintaining survey equipment, troubleshooting faulty equipment, and managing survey/ROV interface cables.

Key Responsibilities


• Install and maintain survey equipment throughout offshore operations.


• Troubleshoot faulty equipment; provide inventory listings, and equipment fault reports.


• Responsible for the installation and testing of survey equipment and systems, as well as the project maintenance of survey equipment and systems.


• Manage all survey/ROV interface cables.


• Notify the Party Chief / Project Manager of any non-serviceable survey equipment.


• Commission, calibrate and decommission all survey equipment to the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief.


• Ensure the safe operation of survey equipment and systems.


• Accountable for the offshore tracking of project equipment and for the demobilization and shipping of survey equipment.


• Support the on-line surveyor during operations.


• Maintain equipment logs and inventories.


• Prepare and maintain cabling and interface diagrams.


• Monitor instruction and performance of other junior technicians.


• Communicate, on a daily basis, with the Party Chief.

Requirements

Key Qualifications and Experience:


• Post Secondary Education in Electronics, IT, Hydrographic Survey or Geomatics

(Experience can compensate for lack of formal competency)


• Experience within Oil & Gas/Renewables Industry is an asset


• Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Document Control Systems.


• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
